The painting, First Light, was commissioned by the PGA of America. It was published as the official pre-tournament poster which set the stage for the 1990 PGA Championship. This marked the second visit by the PGA pros to the venue of Shoal Creek Golf Club, near Birmingham, Alabama. It features the 18th hole as seen from a bird's-eye view looking over the beautiful Williamsburg-styled clubhouse.
